// SERVICE 04 — IT CONSULTING

Honest advice, no buzzword bingo.

Which framework? Cloud or your own server? Is the project even worth it? We give technical answers from people who build — not from consultants who only know slides.

// THE PROBLEM

Consulting that decides nothing.

Classic IT consulting often delivers slides instead of answers. Recommendations nobody can implement. Technology decisions made by trend rather than need. And in the end you're left with a concept that has little to do with reality.

// OUR SOLUTION

Advice from people who build.

We consult technically and honestly — because we develop and run servers ourselves. We tell you when a project isn't worth it. We recommend the technology that fits the task, not the one with the best marketing. And our recommendations are concrete enough that you — or we — can implement them directly.

// WHAT WE REVIEW

Concretely advised.

// OUR RANGE

What we can advise on.

We only advise on what we do ourselves.

DEVELOPMENT

Web Applications & APIs

Architecture, framework choice, code quality — from real development practice.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Servers & Hosting

Cloud vs. own server, cost control, operational reliability.

DATABASES

Data Modeling

Clean data structures, performance, scalability.

SECURITY

Security & GDPR

Typical vulnerabilities, data protection, secure architecture.

PROCESSES

Development Workflows

CI/CD, testing, how a team delivers software efficiently.

DECISIONS

Build vs. Buy

Build it yourself or use standard software? We help you weigh it honestly.

Not in the list? Ask anyway — we'll tell you honestly whether we can help or not.

// HOW IT WORKS

From question to clear answer.

No mysterious process. Five clear phases — you always know where your project stands.

01

Initial Call

What's the issue? A specific question, a decision, an entire system? We figure out what you need. No commitment, no cost.

02

Analysis

We look at what's there — code, architecture, requirements, constraints. Thoroughly, not superficially.

03

Assessment & Recommendation

We give a clear, reasoned assessment — in writing and in plain language. Concrete enough to act on.

04

Review Meeting

We walk through the recommendation together, answer questions and provide context. No slide monologue, a real conversation.

05

Implementation (optional)

If you want, we implement the recommendation too — or guide your team through it. But you don't have to: the recommendation is yours, with or without us.

// PRICING

What does it cost?

Honest answer: it depends on the scope. A single technology question is different from a full architecture review. Instead of a flat number, we do it like this:

Start

How defined is your scope?

CLEARLY DEFINED

Fixed price for clear questions

For clearly defined consulting questions — a review, an assessment — we offer a fixed price. You know the cost upfront.

One price. No surprises.
ONGOING

Hourly rate for sparring

For ongoing consulting or mentoring we work hourly — transparently billed, you book as much as you need.

Documented to the hour.
ALWAYS

Always: free initial call

The first call and a rough assessment cost nothing. Only once it's clear we can help do we talk numbers.

60 minutes. By call or on-site.

No hidden costs, no surprises on the invoice.

// COMMON QUESTIONS

What you ask us most.

  • Yes, absolutely. The consulting is a standalone service. You get an honest assessment and can do whatever you want with it — implement it yourself, hire another team, or leave it. No strings attached.

  • Then we say exactly that. An honest 'better not' recommendation is often more valuable than an expensive yes. We'd rather earn once from good advice than multiple times from a project that never made sense.

  • Yes. Code audits and architecture reviews of someone else's code are part of our work. We assess objectively what's solid and where things should be improved — without badmouthing the previous team.

  • A first rough assessment often happens in the initial call. For a thorough review we need a few days to a few weeks depending on scope — we'll give you a realistic timeline after the initial call.
